I’m in San Francisco, California and am searching for a high-level (we talked about this…) Executive Assistant/Project Coordinator position. Because I have experience in a variety of professional services firms (i.e., law, real estate, private equity, venture capital) and a solid transferrable skill set, I am looking at companies across various industries – it’s the quality of the company, not necessarily the industry it is in. So I am fortunate to have greater flexibility and options, and I am pleased to say there are several great opportunities I am currently pursuing!
Yes, the economy appears to be getting stronger, but as far as I’m concerned, I would like to see a faster turnaround in the way of interviewing and hiring. I have had several interviews in the past 30 days with only about 30% of these making a final decision. Unfortunately, the ones that I really ‘rocked’ in (or so I thought I did) have not made any decision to date.
I have covered several industries throughout my career. Forgings, Investment Castings, Medical Devices, Metal edge roofing to name a few. I have also held the position of Mechanical Engineer, Applications Engineer, Designer, Inside Sales including estimating and several others. Renaissance personality tells me all of these were interesting positions and I enjoyed them all!
